Meet Latrice – Senior Barber at Quintana’s Barber & Dream Spa
At Quintana’s, our barbers aren’t just about the cut—they’re about the connection. And no one embodies that more than Latrice, our Senior Barber with over 16 years of experience behind the chair.
Latrice’s inspiration to become a barber started when she was young, watching her older brothers in the barbershop. “I always thought barbers were cool,” she says. “The experience made me want to be a part of that culture.”
Today, clients know her for her signature blurry fades and the confidence she leaves them with after every service. “The most rewarding part of barbering is seeing the confidence on a client’s face after a fresh cut,” she explains.
When it comes to staying sharp in her craft, Latrice keeps a close eye on talented barbers, fashion, and grooming influencers—and she’s never afraid to try new techniques. Her favorite tool of the trade? The Gamma+ Mag Ergo Linear Clipper, which she swears by for precision work.
But it’s not just about the cut. For Latrice, barbering is about building lasting relationships. “A great cut will bring someone back once,” she says. “But respect, good conversation, and consistency will make them loyal for life.”
Her journey has been one of growth and grit. After owning her own barbershop for 10 years, Latrice joined Quintana’s with a deep sense of community—something she credits to growing up in Cleveland. “The city gave me a sense of community, grit, and style,” she reflects.
Outside of the shop, you can find Latrice enjoying music, creating art, staying active, or unwinding with her pup, Kelsey. She’s also a Knicks fan, a jazz lover, and someone who values giving back. “Community is about people coming together and looking out for one another. To me, giving back means investing time, energy, and care into the people around me.”
When asked about her biggest influence, she doesn’t hesitate: “My grandma, Beverly.” And if she weren’t a barber? She’d be helping people in another way—through therapy or fashion styling.
